Delta Air Lines has introduced a new loyalty promotion for eligible new Delta SkyMiles American Express cardholders, offering two round-trip Comfort Flight Certificates and 50,000 bonus SkyMiles.

The promotion is part of a package of limited-time offers marking 30 years of partnership between Delta and American Express. Eligible customers must apply for the Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express Consumer Card and spend $10,000 within their first six months to qualify.

The promotion runs from August 27 to November 4, 2026. Delta said the flight certificates can be used for eligible round-trip flights operated by the airline within the 48 contiguous United States, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.

There are no blackout dates, but bookings must be made at least 21 days before travel. Taxes and fees of up to $80 per person will also apply.

The airline clarified that the certificates cannot be used for Lagos to US flights. However, Nigerian travellers who fly to the US through Delta’s Lagos-Atlanta route could use the certificates for eligible domestic trips within the US.

Delta said the promotion is aimed at strengthening customer loyalty by offering benefits beyond regular air travel.
