Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has strongly denied rumours circulating about his resignation from office.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the minister described the reports as “baseless, malicious, and deliberately fabricated” to cause disaffection.

He warned that he would not hesitate to initiate legal action against those responsible for peddling the false narrative.

“I have not resigned and have no intention of doing so. I remain committed to the service of our dear nation under the able leadership of President Bola Tinubu,” Badaru stated.

The clarification comes amid growing political speculation and rumours of impending cabinet reshuffles.

The Defence Minister urged Nigerians to disregard the rumours and focus on the government’s efforts to tackle insecurity and strengthen national defence.
