DAVIDO CONDEMNS KWARA CHURCH ATTACK, KEBBI SCHOOLGIRLS ABDUCTION: “NO FAMILY DESERVES THIS PAIN”
Nigerian superstar Davido has expressed deep concern over the recent surge of violent attacks in the country, reacting to the abduction of 25 schoolgirls in Kebbi State and a deadly church attack in Kwara State.
The tragic incident at a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) branch in Kwara State occurred on Tuesday evening, claiming three lives and resulting in several abductions, including that of the pastor. This attack came less than 24 hours after the kidnapping of schoolgirls in Maga, Kebbi State, on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, Davido shared his heartfelt sentiments, stating:
"No family deserves this pain. These acts of violence must never become our norm."
He further appealed for collective action and unity, emphasizing the importance of bringing the victims home safely:
"My heart goes out to the young girls kidnapped in Kebbi and their families. As Nigerians, we must stand together and continue working towards a country where every child can grow up in safety and hope. I am deeply saddened by the tragic attack on the church in Kwara State. May God comfort the grieving families, bring peace to our nation, and put every sponsor of violence and disorder to shame."
Davido also urged anyone with credible information to come forward safely to support ongoing rescue efforts.
The singer’s statement underscores the urgent need for national unity and decisive action against terrorism and insecurity in Nigeria, highlighting the emotional toll these attacks have on families and communities.
