Afrobeats superstar Davido has thrown his full support behind his close associate, talent manager Ubi Franklin, amid swirling rumours that Franklin allegedly stole a luxury watch during Davido’s wedding in Miami over the weekend.

The speculation began circulating on social media after a blog published the claim, sparking heated conversations online.

Franklin, however, wasted no time in responding. Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, he firmly denied the allegation, describing it as “false and misleading.”

Davido, reacting shortly after, made it clear that Franklin doesn’t owe anyone an explanation.

In his words:

“You owe nobody any explanation… fools.”

The singer’s blunt response shows he’s standing firmly by his friend and dismissing the rumour mill entirely.
