Manchester United fans are set to welcome back a familiar face this weekend as David De Gea returns to Old Trafford—but this time, as an opponent.

The former United goalkeeper, who now plays for Italian side Fiorentina, will be in action on Saturday when his new club faces Manchester United in their final pre-season game ahead of the 2025/26 season.

De Gea, who spent 12 memorable years at United before his departure in 2023, remains a beloved figure among the Red Devils faithful. Known for his incredible reflexes and shot-stopping skills, the Spaniard made over 500 appearances for the club, winning multiple individual awards and helping United lift major trophies, including the Premier League and Europa League.
