DANGOTE TRUCK ACCIDENTS: VERYDARKMAN MEETS APOSTLE SULEMAN IN AUCHI
Popular social critic, Martins Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has met with Apostle Johnson Suleman, the Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministry (OFM), following the tragic accident involving a Dangote cement truck in Auchi, Edo State.
On Sunday afternoon, three people lost their lives after a Dangote truck crushed a vehicle close to the OFM headquarters in Auchi. The sad incident quickly drew public outrage and renewed calls for tighter control of heavy-duty trucks passing through the area.
Videos circulating on social media showed VDM and Apostle Suleman meeting on a pedestrian bridge near the crash site, where they were seen in deep conversation as residents cheered from below. Though their exact discussion remains unknown, many believe it was centered on the recurring accidents involving Dangote trucks in the community.
This latest tragedy comes just days after another Dangote truck accident claimed the life of Ruth Otabor, sister to Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Phyna. Ruth had only recently graduated from Auchi Polytechnic before the incident cut her life short.
In response, VDM and residents of Auchi have staged mass protests, demanding an end to Dangote trucks plying the busy route, citing repeated loss of lives.
The meeting between Apostle Suleman and VeryDarkMan is seen as a step toward finding a solution, as community voices grow louder against the menace of heavy-duty trucks in the area.
