President of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, has credited the economic reforms of the Bola Tinubu administration with creating a more supportive environment for the growth of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals complex.

Dangote said the government’s policies had strengthened investor confidence, encouraged local industrialisation and supported efforts to reduce Nigeria’s dependence on imported refined petroleum products.

According to him, reforms in the fiscal, monetary and regulatory areas have helped improve macroeconomic stability and created greater certainty for businesses planning long-term investments.

He said policies aimed at expanding local refining capacity, improving energy security and promoting value addition had contributed to the refinery’s development and Nigeria’s wider economic objectives.

Dangote also noted that the refinery’s increasing production capacity and growing export activities were contributing to the economy through foreign exchange earnings, employment and stronger local supply chains.

He said the progress recorded by the refinery showed the potential of combining private-sector investment with supportive government policies.

The industrialist acknowledged that economic reforms could create difficulties in their early stages but said their benefits were becoming increasingly visible through stronger business confidence and renewed investor interest.

Dangote Industries Limited, he added, would continue investing in strategic sectors, supporting industrial development and creating employment opportunities.

He maintained that sustained government reforms and private-sector investment could help Nigeria build a more self-reliant and competitive economy.
