INTERVIEW
CRISTIANO RONALDO CLAIMS GLOBAL SUPREMACY OVER DONALD TRUMP
Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has sparked a global conversation after declaring that he is “the most famous person in the world” — more famous than former U.S. President Donald Trump.
In a newly released teaser of his upcoming interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo confidently said:
“Do a debate — who is more famous, me or Trump? Worldwide, nobody is more famous than me.”
The statement, which appears in the second part of Ronaldo’s highly anticipated interview series with the British journalist, quickly went viral, igniting mixed reactions from fans across social media platforms.
Ronaldo, who currently plays for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, also discussed his ongoing ambition to lead Portugal to a World Cup victory, noting that such an achievement would “shock the world.”
“How many World Cups did Argentina win before [Lionel] Messi? They’re used to winning.
If Portugal wins, which is possible, it will shock the world,” he said.
At 40 years old, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner remains one of football’s biggest global icons. He recently extended his contract with Al-Nassr until 2027, as he continues to chase his long-standing dream of reaching 1,000 career goals.
Meanwhile, former England international Teddy Sheringham has suggested that Ronaldo’s post-playing career might not involve coaching. Instead, he believes the Portuguese forward could follow David Beckham’s path into football ownership.
“I can’t see Cristiano Ronaldo going into management after he retires. He’s far more likely to own a club rather than manage one, like what David Beckham has done at Inter Miami,” Sheringham told Oddspedia.
“There are bigger and better things than being a manager for Ronaldo. He’s someone who wants to take on the world, and ownership gives him full control.”
