COURTOIS REVEALS HE WANTS TO RETIRE AT REAL MADRID
Real Madrid’s star goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, has made it clear that he wants to end his career at the Spanish club.
Speaking in an interview shared by Madrid Xtra, the Belgian international gave an update on his contract situation, saying:
“My renewal? Talks are ongoing. I want to stay at Real Madrid for as long as possible. My dream is to retire at Real Madrid.”
Courtois, 33, has been a key figure for Los Blancos since joining from Chelsea in 2018. Over the years, he has helped the club win major trophies including the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, and more.
With his current contract set to expire in 2026, discussions are already underway to extend his stay at the Bernabéu.
Before arriving in Madrid, Courtois started his professional career at Genk in Belgium, then moved to Atletico Madrid on loan before becoming Chelsea’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Now, having firmly established himself as one of the best in the world, Courtois says he sees no better place to end his football journey than with Real Madrid.
