The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the interim forfeiture of a nightclub owned by popular socialite and entertainer Pretty Mike over allegations that the venue was being used for drug storage and distribution.

Justice Musa Kakaki granted the order on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, following an ex parte motion filed by Mr. Buhari Abdulahi, counsel to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

The property in question, located at No. 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, operates as Proxy Lagos Night Club. According to court documents, NDLEA officials alleged the club was being used as a hub to store and distribute 169 cylinders (384.662 kg) of nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and 200 grams of cannabis sativa.

The NDLEA also claimed that Mike Nwalie (Pretty Mike) and Joachim Hillary, the alleged co-owner, were preparing to host a large-scale drug-themed party before the agency’s intervention.

Acting on credible intelligence, NDLEA operatives from the Lagos Strategic Command stormed the nightclub on October 26, 2025, around midnight. During the raid, over 200 individuals were reportedly arrested, and the substances seized were later confirmed through laboratory testing to be controlled drugs.

In his submission, counsel for the NDLEA urged the court to order the temporary forfeiture of the property to the Federal Government, describing it as an “instrumentality of crime” under the NDLEA Act. He also requested the suspension of all commercial activities at the premises pending further investigation.

After reviewing the evidence and affidavit submitted by Deputy Commander of Narcotics, Nasiru Garba Bungudu, Justice Kakaki granted the agency’s prayers, ruling that the nightclub be temporarily forfeited and closed to the public until investigations conclude.

The court adjourned the matter to January 28, 2026, for further hearing.
