COAS SHAIBU CHALLENGES MILITARY STRATEGISTS TO DEVELOP PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS TO MASS ABDUCTIONS

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Shaibu, has challenged military strategists and security experts to develop practical and sustainable solutions to the growing challenge of mass abductions across Nigeria.

Speaking at a strategic security forum, the Army Chief emphasized the need for innovative approaches to tackling kidnapping and other forms of organized crime that continue to threaten national security.

According to him, the evolving nature of security threats requires more than conventional military responses, stressing the importance of intelligence-driven operations, technology deployment, and stronger collaboration among security agencies.

Shaibu noted that mass abductions have had devastating effects on communities, educational institutions, and economic activities in several parts of the country.
