A political group, the City Boy Movement in Oyo State, has declared its commitment to securing the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and helping the All Progressives Congress regain control of the state.

Speaking in a statement, the group’s director, Olufemi Onireti, said the movement would work across wards, party structures, and stakeholder networks to achieve its political objectives.

“We are committed to securing the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and returning Oyo State to the All Progressives Congress,” he said.

He described the mobilisation effort as a coordinated grassroots drive, saying the group has grown into an active network across communities and local councils.

According to him, the movement is “not bystanders” but part of the political system it seeks to strengthen, adding that its influence is rooted in community engagement and local mobilisation.

Onireti also commended Tinubu’s administration, saying the president has shown “firm resolve” in addressing long-standing national challenges and laying the foundation for economic stability.

He urged supporters in Oyo State to remain consistent and patient with ongoing reforms, stressing that long-term policies require sustained backing to produce results.

“This is not the time to waver. It is the time to stand firmly behind a leadership committed to long-term progress,” he said.

The group reiterated its determination to continue grassroots mobilisation ahead of future elections, insisting that its efforts are focused on “reclaiming the state” and restoring governance aligned with the people’s will.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
