Chelsea assistant coach, Willy Caballero, has revealed why the Blues secured a 2-1 victory over Liverpool in their Premier League clash on Saturday.

A dramatic late strike from Willian Estevão sealed the win for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Manager Enzo Maresca was, however, sent off after sprinting down the touchline to celebrate the decisive goal with his players. The Italian, already on a yellow card for protesting a VAR penalty decision earlier, received a second booking for his exuberant celebration.

In his post-match remarks, Caballero attributed Chelsea’s win to the team’s strong finish and fighting spirit.

He emphasized that the squad focuses on finding solutions rather than making excuses.

“We finished well, we finished strong,” Caballero said. “Enzo said it before — we are a good team that plays football. We created chances in the first half. They had a few, but we deserved the second goal.

“The way we fought today, with four full-backs in the back line, was incredible. We’re all very proud of the players. We didn’t look for excuses; we found a solution.”

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
