CHELSEA SECURE £80M WINDFALL AFTER REACHING CLUB WORLD CUP FINAL
Chelsea have pocketed approximately £80 million following their progression to the final of the FIFA Club World Cup.
The Blues advanced with a commanding 2-0 victory over Fluminense in Wednesday night’s semi-final.
Joao Pedro, a recent £60 million signing from Brighton, was the standout performer, netting both goals for the Premier League outfit.
Chelsea will now prepare to face either Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid in Sunday’s final as they aim to clinch their second major trophy of the season, having already claimed the UEFA Conference League title.
Renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano shared on X:
“Chelsea have now earned close to £80m thanks to their FIFA Club World Cup performances and qualification for the final.
Excellent work by Enzo Maresca — UCL qualification, Conference League victory, and a flawless Club World Cup campaign so far.”
