CHELSEA BOSS MARESCA CONFIRMS MADUEKE WILL PLAY VS FLUMINENSE DESPITE ARSENAL LINKS
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has made it clear that winger Noni Madueke will feature in their Club World Cup semi-final clash against Brazilian side Fluminense, despite swirling rumours about a potential move to Arsenal.
Madueke, 23, has been a regular in Chelsea’s Club World Cup campaign so far, and Maresca sees no reason to drop him amid the transfer speculation. Reports suggest Madueke has already agreed personal terms with the Gunners, with both clubs now needing to settle on a transfer fee.
But for now, Maresca is fully focused on the tournament—and still counting on Madueke.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the semi-final, Maresca said, “Personally, I think it’s the same kind of noise we heard before the Palmeiras game. We gave him half an hour and he was very good.”
“I have no doubts that if we need Noni, he will help us. I understand that when there is so much talk around a player, it can be difficult for them to handle, but he’s been professional.”
Madueke’s situation has become one of the most talked-about stories in English football this month, with Arsenal eager to add him to their squad. But Chelsea fans will be pleased to know that for now, he remains committed to helping the Blues chase silverware in the Club World Cup.
As the semi-final approaches, all eyes will be on whether Madueke can put the transfer noise aside once more and deliver another strong performance for Chelsea on the global stage.
