CARDOSO HIGHLIGHTS ECONOMIC STABILITY AT US–NIGERIA BUSINESS ROUNDTABLE
The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Olayemi Cardoso, engaged with senior business leaders and institutional investors at the US–Nigeria Executive Business Roundtable, underscoring Nigeria’s commitment to sustaining macroeconomic stability.
Cardoso reaffirmed the country’s adherence to rules-based economic management, transparent markets, and predictable policy frameworks, while highlighting recent reforms in the foreign-exchange sector.
According to a statement from the CBN’s Corporate Communications Department, the governor also reiterated the central bank’s focus on orthodox monetary policies, ongoing banking-sector reforms, and the modernisation of the financial sector’s payment systems.
The event, organised by the US Chamber of Commerce’s US-Africa Business Center, centred on discussions about macroeconomic stabilisation, regulatory clarity, and scaling bankable projects in key sectors of Nigeria’s economy.
