CANADIAN MAN, 79, FOUND DEAD IN LAGOS HOTEL ROOM
A 79-year-old Canadian national, Mr. Dwight Sullivan, was discovered dead in his hotel room in Victoria Island, Lagos State, earlier this week.
The incident reportedly occurred at Sun Heaven Hotels in the early hours of Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
According to reports by security analyst Zagazola Makama, the hotel’s Chief Security Officer, Mr. Sunday Isadeha, alerted the police around 4:30 p.m. after Sullivan was found lifeless on the floor of his room (Room 114), where he had been staying since October 2.
A police team from the Victoria Island Division visited the scene, conducted a forensic assessment, and photographed the area.
Authorities confirmed that no signs of violence were found on the deceased’s body. The remains were later taken to the Lagos Island General Hospital, Marina, where a medical officer officially pronounced him dead.
His body has since been deposited at the hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
While initial findings suggest there was no foul play, police say investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of death.
