The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced that the 2025 CAF Awards will take place in Rabat, Morocco, on Wednesday, November 19.

According to CAF, the prestigious ceremony will kick off at 7:00 p.m. and will celebrate the best of African football across various categories — from top male and female players to coaches, clubs, and national teams.

This year’s edition promises to be star-studded, with several Nigerian footballers making the nomination list. Among them are Victor Osimhen, Stanley Nwabali, Rasheedat Ajibade, Esther Okoronkwo, and Chiamaka Nnadozie, who are all in the running for continental honors.

CAF President Patrice Motsepe, along with top football administrators, former players, and sports icons from across Africa and beyond, are expected to attend the glamorous event.

In the 2024 edition, Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman clinched the African Footballer of the Year (Men) award after a spectacular season with Atalanta, while Zambia’s Barbra Banda took home the Women’s Player of the Year title.

The CAF Awards have long been regarded as the biggest celebration of African football excellence — honoring players and teams who have made outstanding contributions to the sport on the continent and globally.

Fans across Africa are already buzzing with excitement as the countdown to Rabat 2025 begins.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
