CAC ATTRIBUTES JABU’S RISE WITHIN 20 YEARS OF EXISTENCE TO DIVINE GRACE, SACRIFICE
The Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) has attributed the growth of Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) over the past 20 years to divine grace, sacrifice and the commitment of those who contributed to the institution’s development.
The recognition highlights the role of faith, dedication and long-term investment in building an educational institution. Since its establishment, JABU has worked to develop its academic activities and strengthen its place within Nigeria’s higher education sector.
The university’s journey also reflects the efforts required to sustain an institution over two decades. Beyond establishing academic programmes, universities must invest in infrastructure, attract qualified lecturers, support students and maintain standards that prepare graduates for the workplace and wider society.
The emphasis on sacrifice points to the contributions of individuals and stakeholders who supported the institution through its development. Building and maintaining a university requires financial resources, effective administration and a commitment to providing quality education.
For students and their families, the growth of private universities can create additional opportunities to access higher education. However, the long-term value of such institutions depends on the quality of teaching, the relevance of their programmes and the skills graduates acquire.
JABU’s 20 year milestone also provides an opportunity to reflect on its achievements and consider its future priorities. Continued investment in research, technology, student development and industry partnerships could help strengthen its contribution to Nigeria’s educational system.
The CAC’s remarks place the university’s progress within a broader story of faith and collective commitment. As JABU moves into its next phase, sustaining its growth will depend on building on its foundations while responding to the changing needs of students and the labour market.
