BURNA BOY TO HEADLINE HALFTIME SHOW AT 2026 NFL PARIS GAME

Nigerian Afrobeats star Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has been announced as the headline performer for the halftime show at the 2026 NFL Paris Game.

The Grammy Award-winning singer will perform during the game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints on Sunday, October 25, at the Stade de France in Paris.

The game is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. Central European Summer Time, which is 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time.

Burna Boy’s performance will form part of the National Football League’s international games programme for the 2026 season.

According to the NFL, Thursday’s announcement means the Paris event will be one of seven halftime shows planned across the league’s 2026 International Games.

The shows will take place across seven countries and four continents as the NFL continues its international programme.

Reacting to his selection, Burna Boy said returning to the Stade de France for the NFL event was particularly meaningful because of his previous performance at the venue.

“Paris gave me one of the biggest nights of my career, and to walk back into Stade de France for a moment like this means everything,” he said.

The singer said he was proud to represent African music on such a major international platform and promised an unforgettable performance for fans.

“The NFL is bringing something to France that has never happened here before, and I get to stand in the middle of it representing African music and I intend to give the people a show they will not forget,” Burna Boy said.

The NFL’s Senior Director of Global Game Presentation, Music and Entertainment, Tim Tubito, also welcomed the choice of the Nigerian singer.

Tubito said the league’s first NFL game in France required a halftime performance that reflected the importance of the occasion.

“The first NFL game in France deserves a halftime moment that matches the occasion, and there is no artist better suited to it than Burna Boy,” he said.

He noted that Burna Boy’s previous connection with the Stade de France, as well as his contribution to African music, made his return to the venue significant for the event.

The Steelers and Saints matchup will therefore combine the NFL’s first regular-season game in France with a major Afrobeats performance, placing Burna Boy at the centre of the league’s international expansion in 2026
