Grammy-winning Nigerian artist, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has opened up about his spiritual journey, revealing that he converted from Christianity to Islam while searching for deeper truth and enlightenment.

In a recent interview with streamer Playboymax, Burna Boy shared that his continuous study of various religious texts has only left him more uncertain about life’s ultimate meaning.

“Growing up, I was a Christian, and then I converted to Islam. It’s like I’ve studied it all, but I’m still out here trying to figure out what’s really going on, you know? The more I research, the more confused I get,” he said.

The singer added that his spiritual journey is ongoing as he continues to seek personal truth and understanding.

Similarly, Nigerian singer 9ice recently opened up about his own spiritual experience, disclosing that he embraced the Ifa religion after a “spiritual attack” that left him bedridden for six months. He stated in an interview with Nancy Isime that he wished he had begun practicing the faith earlier.
