BRYAN MBEUMO FRUSTRATED OVER DELAYED MANCHESTER UNITED MOVE – CAMEROON COACH REVEALS
Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo is reportedly growing frustrated over the delay in completing his much-anticipated transfer to Manchester United, according to national team assistant coach, Ashu Besong.
The Brentford forward, who had a standout 2024/25 season, is said to be eager to make the move to Old Trafford, but his current club has so far rejected two offers from United — holding out for a reported £65 million fee.
Speaking to Metro, Coach Besong confirmed that Mbeumo is feeling the pressure of the stalled negotiations.
“Yes, obviously he’s very frustrated with how long it’s taken,” Besong said. “I spoke to him about a week ago and he is very calm with everything that is going on. But of course, he’s already told them he wants to go to United.”
Manchester United are actively rebuilding their attacking lineup, having signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves and reportedly showing the door to Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Antony. Mbeumo is seen as a fresh attacking option to bring speed and creativity back to United’s frontline.
While Mbeumo remains patient, the pressure is mounting on both clubs to reach an agreement soon. The 25-year-old scored 20 goals and recorded 9 assists in all competitions last season — stats that make him a hot target in the summer transfer window.
Reports suggest Rúben Amorim’s side (Manchester United’s new coaching team) still expect to finalize the deal in the coming weeks. But for now, fans — and Mbeumo — will have to wait just a little longer.
Will Brentford eventually lower their asking price? Or will United be forced to walk away? Only time will tell — but the clock is ticking.
