British actor Jonathan Bailey has officially been named People Magazine’s 2025 “S3xiest Man Alive.”

The openly gay star, best known for his breakout role as Anthony Bridgerton in Netflix’s steamy hit series Bridgerton, earned international recognition for his charm, charisma, and commanding on-screen presence.

Since rising to fame, Bailey has expanded his career beyond television, starring in major Hollywood productions such as Jurassic World Rebirth, Wicked, and the upcoming Wicked: For Good.

Reacting to the announcement, Bailey told People magazine:

“I mean, it’s a huge honor. Obviously, I’m incredibly flattered. And it’s completely absurd,” he said with a laugh. “I’m quite excited for some friends and family to find out.”

Born and raised in Oxfordshire, England, Bailey began acting as a child before transitioning to the stage, where he earned critical acclaim performing with the Royal Shakespeare Company and on London’s West End.

Bailey’s latest accolade solidifies his status as one of the most beloved and admired stars in the entertainment world — not just for his looks, but for his talent, authenticity, and trailblazing representation in film and television.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
