BRIDGE REPAIRS TRIGGER HOURS-LONG GRIDLOCK ON LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY

Motorists travelling along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway have faced severe traffic congestion following ongoing bridge repair works on the busy highway. The situation reportedly turned into a prolonged nightmare for commuters, with some travellers spending several hours on the road as traffic movement became heavily restricted around the affected section.

The repairs have created significant bottlenecks as vehicles are forced to move through limited portions of the highway while construction activities continue. The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is one of the country's busiest road corridors, linking Lagos with Ogun State and other parts of the South-West, meaning disruptions along the route can quickly result in long queues extending for several kilometres.

Commuters caught in the congestion reportedly experienced major delays, with journeys that would normally take considerably less time stretching into several hours.
