Popular Nollywood actress Bolaji Ogunmola has criticized United Nigeria Airline after her flight was canceled twice in two days.

The actress, who traveled to Ekiti State for work and was scheduled to return to Lagos for another filming on Wednesday, accused the airline of leaving her stranded without any communication, causing delays to her schedule and affecting her livelihood.

In an Instagram video posted Thursday morning, Bolaji expressed her frustration, saying her lawyer would intervene.

“I was supposed to fly yesterday. When I got to the airport, I was told the flight was delayed due to unforeseen issues. I waited for hours, only to be told the flight was canceled. I asked what the plan was to get me to Lagos, but they said there was nothing they could do. I even tried Akure, but it yielded no results,” she said.

Bolaji recounted her ordeal further: “This morning, I was told the flight would depart at 8 a.m., so I paid for my hotel and other expenses. I woke up at 5 a.m. and rushed to the airport by 6:30 a.m., only to be informed it had been rescheduled to 9:30 a.m., then later moved to 12 p.m., and finally to 5:30 p.m. Meanwhile, my production crew is on set waiting for me.”

The actress described the situation as “painful” and unfair. “They could have at least sent a message. It’s not just my time they are wasting, it’s also my source of livelihood. I’m stuck in a state I don’t know, waiting for a ride to Lagos, unsure when I’ll arrive. They are unfair, show no remorse, and lack decency,” she said, visibly emotional.

This incident comes shortly after the commencement of commercial flight operations in Ekiti State.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
