The Bank of Industry (BOI) has appointed Kuramo Capital Management as fund manager for one of its key investment vehicles, marking a strategic move to enhance the management and impact of its development finance initiatives.

The appointment, announced on Wednesday, is expected to bring international expertise, robust risk management practices, and a strong track record in African private equity to BOI’s portfolio. Kuramo Capital, known for its focus on growth-oriented investments, will oversee funds targeting key sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, and renewable energy.

BOI Managing Director, Mr. Olukayode Pitan, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating that it would strengthen the bank’s capacity to deliver sustainable development outcomes. “Kuramo Capital’s expertise aligns perfectly with our mission to drive industrialisation and economic growth,” Pitan said.

The collaboration is expected to attract additional capital and improve the performance of financed projects. Industry observers view the move as a positive step towards professionalising development finance in Nigeria.

Kuramo Capital has pledged to work closely with BOI to ensure alignment with national priorities and maximum developmental impact.
