BLESSING CEO APOLOGISES, SPEAKS ON PAIN OF LOSING SON
Nigerian social media personality and relationship commentator, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has publicly apologised for her past comments about people's personal struggles, admitting that the loss of her nine-year-old son has made her understand the depth of pain she once failed to appreciate.
Blessing made the emotional appeal in a video shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, where she broke down in tears and asked forgiveness from people she may have hurt through her words and actions.
She admitted that she had spoken carelessly about experiences she had never personally encountered, adding that her present circumstances had taught her difficult lessons about empathy and compassion.
In the emotional video, she described herself as broken, confused and exhausted, saying she was struggling to cope with the loss of her son.
She also apologised to people whose pain she had previously dismissed or mocked, acknowledging that words could have lasting consequences.
The apology comes months after the death of her son, Bryan, who reportedly died in a hospital on June 8, 2026, while she was in custody at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos over separate fraud allegations.
The nine-year-old reportedly suffered from chronic asthma and had experienced recurring health challenges.
Blessing disclosed that she was finding it difficult to come to terms with his death, revealing that she sometimes avoided being around her mother because she did not want her to see her crying.
She also expressed regret over not being present during her son's final moments, repeatedly saying how much she missed him.
Addressing Bryan directly, whom she affectionately called "Doom Doom", she promised to correct her mistakes and make him proud.
The influencer further apologised to supporters who had stood by her and those who had withdrawn their support because of her controversial public statements.
Comparing her decision to seek forgiveness and return to her family to the biblical story of the prodigal son, she said she was ready to retrace her steps and begin again.
Her emotional message has generated reactions across social media, with users expressing different opinions about her apology, personal struggles and the importance of showing empathy towards people experiencing difficult situations.
The development marks an emotional moment for the controversial influencer as she confronts personal grief while attempting to rebuild relationships with people she believes she has hurt.
