BERGER PAINTS CHAIRMAN CALLS FOR PRACTICAL INNOVATION
The Chairman of Berger Paints Nigeria, Abi Ayida, has called for greater emphasis on innovation that addresses practical economic, environmental and social challenges.
Ayida made the call in Lagos during the unveiling of the company’s CoolComfort thermal paint solution.
He said innovation should not be measured only by how new a product is, but also by its usefulness and ability to create tangible value for consumers and society.
According to him, businesses should focus on developing solutions that respond to real problems rather than concentrating solely on introducing new products.
The CoolComfort product was presented as an example of an innovation designed to address practical challenges, particularly those associated with heat.
Ayida said companies had a responsibility to understand the problems faced by consumers and develop products that could provide meaningful solutions.
He encouraged businesses and innovators to consider environmental and social needs when developing new products and services.
The Berger Paints chairman said a stronger focus on problem-solving innovation could help businesses create sustainable value while contributing to wider economic development.
The company said its approach to product development would continue to focus on meeting changing consumer needs and responding to emerging environmental challenges.
