BENZEMA OPENS DOOR TO REAL MADRID RETURN: “IT’S POSSIBLE”
Former Real Madrid superstar Karim Benzema has sparked excitement among fans after hinting that a return to the club could be on the cards.
Benzema, who joined Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad as a free agent in July 2023, said in a recent interview with AS that he would find it hard to turn down Real Madrid if club president Florentino Pérez ever called him back.
The 36-year-old striker, who spent 14 trophy-filled years in Madrid and won the Ballon d’Or, made it clear that the Spanish giants still hold a special place in his heart.
“If Florentino is still there, it could happen. I talk to him and it’s possible,” Benzema said.
“I’m a Real Madrid fan. I feel it in my soul. Madrid is still my city.”
Benzema also described himself as a “Madrileño at heart,” adding that he still feels deeply connected to the club and the city.
While his contract with Al Ittihad runs until June 2026, his comments have fueled speculation about a potential reunion with Los Blancos—something fans have long hoped for.
For now, Benzema says he’s focused on his current club, but his message was clear: if Real Madrid comes calling, he might just answer.
