BENUE WOMAN BURNS LOVER’S TWO DAUGHTERS TO DEATH

A woman in Benue State has been arrested for allegedly setting her lover’s two young daughters on fire, leading to their deaths.

The suspect reportedly carried out the act during a domestic dispute with the children’s father. The girls, aged between 4 and 7, were rushed to the hospital but did not survive the severe burns.

The Benue State Police Command confirmed the arrest and said the woman is in custody undergoing interrogation. “This is a very tragic and senseless act. We will ensure justice is served,” a police spokesperson stated.

The incident has sparked outrage in the community, with many calling for swift prosecution and stronger measures against domestic violence.

The children’s father is said to be in shock and receiving counselling.
