An elderly man, Ankyambe Hembaor, was killed by his son, Tordue, following a heated financial dispute in the Nyamatsoo Mbagen community of Buruku Local Government Area, Benue State.

Security expert Zagazola Makama revealed the incident in a statement posted on X on Monday.

According to him, the attack occurred on Saturday when the suspect allegedly assaulted his father with a machete after he refused to give him money. Residents quickly rushed the victim to Agbecha Hospital in Nyamatsoo, where he was pronounced dead while receiving treatment.
