BENUE INTERIOR DESIGNER, DEBORAH MOSES, TRAGICALLY K!LLED BY EX-BOYFRIEND IN LAGOS
Tragedy has struck in Lagos following the brutal murder of Deborah Moses, a young interior designer popularly known by her brand name Deb’rah Porsche.
Deborah, who had just completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and was pursuing her career in interior decoration, was allegedly stabbed to death by her ex-boyfriend on Wednesday night.
The suspect, identified as Lintex from Otukpo, Benue State, reportedly disguised as a dispatch rider to gain entry into the estate where Deborah lived. When security raised suspicion, he scaled the fence and forced his way into her apartment.
According to activist Meddy Olotu, Lintex first attempted to tamper with a gas pipeline outside the building in what seemed like an effort to trigger an explosion. After that failed, he broke into Deborah’s home and attacked her with a knife, inflicting multiple stab wounds that led to her death.
Family members revealed that Deborah had ended the relationship more than a year ago, but the suspect persistently harassed her and issued threats.
“They broke up over a year ago, but this guy refused to move on. He always said, ‘If I don’t have you, nobody will. If I don’t marry you, blood will flow,’” Deborah’s sister recounted.
She added that her sister had been ignoring his persistent calls and advances while focusing on her budding career before her life was cut short.
Neighbors managed to overpower the suspect after the attack and handed him over to the police. He is currently in custody, while the victim’s family and rights groups are demanding justice, urging authorities not to let the case be swept under the carpet.
