Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has opened up about how the tragic death of his close friend and collaborator, Mohbad, reshaped his outlook on life.

Speaking in a recent livestream chat with TikToker Joblaq, Bella Shmurda revealed that Mohbad’s passing pushed him into a phase of deep reflection and self-discovery.

“RIP Mohbad. After he passed away, my brain reset, and everything changed. The way I see things in life also changed,” he said.

The singer added that he now has a clearer perspective on life, echoing the lessons parents often warn their children about while growing up.

“There’s a time our parents used to say, ‘You’re misbehaving, but one day you will understand.’ I’m currently in that phase where I’m starting to understand. I have understood certain things,” Bella explained.

Mohbad’s death in 2023 shook the Nigerian music industry and left fans and colleagues heartbroken. For Bella Shmurda, it marked a turning point, inspiring him to approach life with more maturity and clarity.
