BBNAIJA’S SULTANA OPENS UP: WHY I CHOSE ISLAM OVER CHRISTIANITY
BBNaija Star Sultana Shares Why She Embraced Islam Despite Christian Upbringing
Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Farida Sultana Auduson Ibrahim — popularly known as Sultana — has opened up about her personal journey of faith and why she chose to practice Islam over Christianity.
During a candid conversation with fellow housemate Zita on Wednesday night, the 25-year-old plus-size model shared that she grew up in a multi-faith home, with a Muslim father from Adamawa State and a Christian mother from Yala, Cross River State.
Sultana revealed that although she once practiced Christianity and was even baptized in the Catholic Church under the name Josephine, she eventually decided to fully embrace Islam.
“I grew up going to both church and mosque,” she said. “My mom is a Christian. At some point, I got baptized in Catholic, my baptismal name is Josephine. I just decided to choose the religion that works best for me, which is Islam.”
She clarified that her decision wasn’t forced or influenced by strict religious upbringing, but was based on personal conviction and spiritual comfort.
Sultana’s honest revelation has sparked conversations among fans, with many appreciating her openness about navigating her dual-religious background.
As BBNaija Season 10 continues to unfold, Sultana remains one of the standout housemates not just for her confidence and charm, but also for her willingness to share real-life experiences with honesty and grace.
