Fans of Big Brother Naija Season 10 were left stunned on Friday night when the live broadcast abruptly went off air due to a power outage.

Organisers MultiChoice Nigeria quickly addressed the incident, confirming that the disruption was caused by a technical power issue. They reassured viewers that the housemates remained safe and sound throughout the blackout.

In a statement, the organisers said:

“We’re currently experiencing a temporary break in Big Brother Naija transmission due to a power issue. Rest assured, the housemates are safe and sound. Our technical team is working swiftly to restore power and normal service. Thank you for your patience. Grab a snack, stretch your legs. We’ll be back serving premium entertainment shortly!”

The show was off air for about two hours, sparking a flurry of online reactions from concerned fans who flooded social media with questions, memes, and jokes while waiting for the broadcast to resume.

Fortunately, transmission was restored, and the show is back on track, delivering the premium entertainment viewers expect from Africa’s biggest reality TV show.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
