BBNAIJA 10: THELMA LAWSON EXPLAINS RIFT WITH ISABELLA AFTER EVICTION
Evicted Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Thelma Lawson, has shed light on the strained relationship between her and fellow contestant Isabella.
Speaking after her eviction on Saturday night alongside Bright Morgan, Thelma explained that their fallout was largely due to a misunderstanding over her closeness with Kayinkunmi, another housemate she had known prior to the show.
According to her, Isabella misinterpreted her bond with Kayinkunmi as romantic, which led to tension and distrust.
“It’s unfortunate that Isabella and I never really became friends. I genuinely looked forward to connecting with her because she is a mother to a 14-year-old son, and I wanted to learn life from her perspective. But things changed because Kayinkunmi, who is my friend outside the house, was also in the game,” Thelma revealed.
The former Head of House added that the rift deepened when she chose Kayinkunmi as her deputy, a decision that Isabella did not take lightly.
“Her reaction that night showed me she had taken it too far. I felt it wasn’t the right moment for a conversation,” she said.
Thelma further clarified that she intentionally kept the depth of her friendship with Kayinkunmi private to avoid being used for highlights, insisting there was no romantic link between them.
“Kayinkunmi is my friend and that was why I chose him as deputy. Unfortunately, by the time Isabella realized there was nothing between us, the damage had already been done,” she added.
Thelma concluded that while she had hoped for a genuine friendship with Isabella, the misunderstanding created a rift that was never repaired during their time in Biggie’s house.
