Winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, has denied claims that she used a pity strategy to win the reality TV show.

Speaking during an interview with Arise TV, the 23-year-old reality star clarified that her approach in the house was natural and unplanned.

According to her, she received her acceptance email just a few days before the show began, leaving her with little time to prepare or strategise.

“I didn’t come in with a pity strategy. I didn’t even believe I was going to be picked for the show. When I got the mail, I had only a few days to pack. I was in Ijebu at the time, and I brought all the costumes I took to that location to my sister, then we started planning,” Imisi explained.

She further addressed comments about her wardrobe on the show, stating that the clothes she wore reflected her real-life style and not a deliberate attempt to create a certain image.

“I didn’t have time to go home, and even if I did, I feel like it’s just a few things I’d have taken because most of the outfits I wore in the house are what I usually wear outside. That’s just me,” she added.

Imisi was crowned the winner of BBNaija Season 10: 10/10 Edition on Sunday, October 5, 2025, walking away with the grand prize of ₦150 million.
