BAYELSA APC REJECTS RELEVANCE OF EMERGING RAINBOW COALITION

The All Progressives Congress in Bayelsa State has rejected the relevance of the emerging “Rainbow Coalition” in the state, insisting that the party has sufficient structures, membership and grassroots networks to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other officially nominated APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

The state APC chairman, Warman Weri Ogoriba, made the position known in a statement, saying the party remains focused, united and firmly established across Bayelsa. He said the APC has political structures covering all eight local government areas and wards in the state, which he described as the foundation for its activities ahead of the elections.

Ogoriba said the party would not be distracted by political alliances operating outside its established structure. According to him, the APC would continue to expand its membership, strengthen internal unity and intensify grassroots mobilisation as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.

He urged party members and supporters across the state to remain united, disciplined and committed to the party’s objectives. He also assured them that the leadership would continue engaging political stakeholders and mobilising support across communities in the state.

The Bayelsa APC chairman maintained that the party’s existing structures, members, stakeholders and grassroots networks would form the basis of its campaign activities. He said the state leadership remained committed to strengthening the party and working collectively towards the success of President Tinubu and all officially nominated APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
