BARCELONA RISK LALIGA BLOCK ON RASHFORD TRANSFER OVER FINANCIAL ISSUES
Barcelona’s pursuit of Marcus Rashford may hit a major snag, as LaLiga could prevent the club from registering the Manchester United star due to ongoing financial troubles.
Reports from Sky Sports reveal that the Spanish giants have already agreed on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy the England international. An official announcement could come as early as Wednesday.
However, despite the agreement, Barcelona’s financial restrictions may force them to sell or loan out players to create room for Rashford’s registration. Without doing so, LaLiga is unlikely to approve the move.
This isn’t the first time Barcelona has faced such hurdles. Earlier in the summer, the club failed to sign Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao because they couldn’t guarantee his registration under LaLiga’s salary cap rules.
Barcelona’s financial situation continues to complicate their transfer plans, and unless they offload some players soon, Rashford’s switch to Camp Nou could be delayed—or even derailed entirely.
