BARçA HANDS CAPTAIN’S ARMBAND BACK TO TER STEGEN AFTER BRIEF REMOVAL
In a quick turnaround, Barcelona have restored the captain’s armband to Marc-André Ter Stegen, just days after stripping him of the role.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the German goalkeeper is once again the club’s first-team captain, effective immediately.
Barcelona confirmed the decision on Friday, stating that Ter Stegen has signed the authorization for the club’s medical team to process his medical report for LaLiga.
The move comes after the club had earlier announced that Ter Stegen was being removed from his captaincy due to disciplinary proceedings. At the time, vice-captain Ronald Araújo was appointed as the new skipper.
While Barça have not gone into detail about the reason for the reversal, the swift reinstatement suggests that the issue may have been resolved behind the scenes.
For now, Ter Stegen is back wearing the armband — and fans will be watching closely to see if the drama is truly over.
