BANDITS KILL 10 IN SOKOTO

At least 10 people were killed and several others injured when suspected bandits attacked Tofa community in Rabah Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

The attackers reportedly invaded the community on Sunday night, shooting residents and abducting dozens of people during the raid.

The incident has caused fresh concern among residents over the security situation in parts of the state, particularly communities exposed to repeated attacks by armed groups.

Reports from the area said the assailants also moved through the community during the attack, taking residents hostage before leaving the area.

The latest incident adds to a series of attacks and abductions reported in parts of Sokoto and other states in north-west Nigeria.

Security concerns have continued to affect rural communities, with residents frequently calling for stronger protection and faster intervention by security agencies.
