BALLON D’OR 2026: YAMAL CHARTERS PRIVATE JET FOR LONDON CEREMONY
Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal has reportedly chartered a private jet to attend the 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony in London with his family and close friends.
According to Spanish journalist Víctor Navarro, the forward arranged the journey separately from Barcelona’s official delegation so members of his inner circle could accompany him.
The ceremony is scheduled for Monday, October 26, at the London Palladium.
Yamal is among the leading contenders for the men’s award following his performances for Barcelona and Spain. He faces competition from other prominent nominees, including Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappé.
The Barcelona star finished second behind Ousmane Dembélé in the previous Ballon d’Or vote, although he collected the Kopa Trophy recognising the best young player.
His reported travel arrangements would allow those closest to him to share another major occasion in his career.
However, booking a private flight does not indicate that Yamal knows the result. The winner will be revealed during the ceremony.
