Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has shared his thoughts on Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal amid the 2025 Ballon d’Or race.

Both players are among the top 30 nominees for the prestigious award this year. However, when asked by BILD if Yamal could go on to win the Ballon d’Or, Mbappe gave a cheeky response.

“Lamine Yamal? He is a very good player, but he is from Barcelona. I can’t say anything,” the France captain told Le Parisien.

Yamal enjoyed an outstanding season with Barcelona, leading the club to the LaLiga title and the Copa del Rey, while also playing a key role in their run to the Champions League semi-finals.

Mbappe, on the other hand, had a stellar season himself, continuing his remarkable goal-scoring form after making a high-profile switch to Real Madrid.

With both stars in the mix, football fans are eagerly waiting to see who will be crowned the Ballon d’Or 2025 winner.
