Nigerian music sensation Ayra Starr is still over the moon after a memorable meeting with her idol, global superstar Rihanna. In a recent interview with ETalk TV, the "Rush" hitmaker shared her excitement and disbelief at learning that Rihanna is actually a fan of her music.

“She’s such an amazing person,” Ayra said, glowing with admiration. “Meeting her still feels like a dream. People say, ‘don’t meet your idols,’ but I’m so glad I met mine. Rihanna is everything I hoped she would be and more.”

What touched Ayra the most was hearing from Rihanna herself that she’s a fan. “The fact that she loves my music? I’m my favourite artist’s favourite artist,” she said, clearly thrilled.

Ayra Starr described the moment as overwhelming, adding that she often gets nervous and starts making random jokes when she’s around Rihanna. Despite the nerves, she’s grateful for the experience and says it has only strengthened her admiration for the billionaire singer.

“She’s an amazing artist, an amazing woman, and someone I truly look up to. I know I made the right choice picking her as my role model.”

Looking ahead, Ayra Starr says she hopes to collaborate with Rihanna in the future — a dream that now seems closer to reality than ever.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
