Popular Nigerian comedian AY Makun did not hold back in expressing his frustration with the Super Eagles following their failure to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

In a fiery video rant, AY described the team’s performance as a “big shame”, criticizing the national squad despite all the support they received.

“It’s a shame. Big shame. Shame. Big shame. Even with referee, everybody try to help una. Big shame,” he said.

The comedian also highlighted the team’s overreliance on striker Victor Osimhen, arguing that Nigeria’s performance dropped significantly after the star player left the field.

“The other day I dey praise Osimhen, people dey attack me. Well, he commot… he commot for field, full game change. Full game change,” AY added.

Expressing his disappointment further, AY urged the players to return to their clubs, repeatedly emphasizing that the Super Eagles had embarrassed the nation.

His candid remarks have sparked conversation among fans, with many sharing in his frustration over Nigeria missing out on another World Cup and questioning the team’s ability to perform consistently without their star players.
