AY APOLOGISES AFTER CARDIFF SHOW DISRUPTION, CALLS FOR REFUND DETAILS
Nigerian comedian and actor Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has apologised to fans after his Cardiff comedy show was disrupted by unresolved payment issues.
The event, part of his “AY Live: Single and Not Searching” UK tour, was scheduled for Sunday, October 25, at Valegate Retail Park in Cardiff, Wales.
In a statement posted on Instagram on Monday, AY said he and the other comedians travelled to Cardiff and eventually entered the venue. However, payment commitments delayed their appearance, and most audience members had left by the time they reached the hall.
AY acknowledged the disappointment of fans who had paid to attend, saying they deserved better organisation and clearer communication.
“You should never have been caught in the middle of a payment dispute,” he said.
The comedian also asked fans to watch a video explaining his account of the incident before reaching conclusions about what happened.
He called on the event organisers and UK tour management to explain how the situation would be resolved, including providing clear information about refunds for affected ticket holders.
His statement did not confirm when refunds would be issued.
