AXXELA EXTENDS GAS NETWORK ACROSS THREE STATES
Axxela Limited has expanded its gas pipeline network by 39 kilometres across Lagos, Ogun and Rivers states as part of efforts to improve access to natural gas for industrial and commercial users.
The gas and power company disclosed this in its 2025 Sustainability Report, which highlighted its environmental, social and governance performance during the year.
According to the report, the expansion improved connectivity across the three states and enabled more industrial and commercial customers to connect to Axxela’s gas distribution network.
The company said the development formed part of its broader strategy to deepen domestic gas utilisation, support industrial activity and provide more reliable energy solutions to businesses.
Axxela also reported 9.6 million lost-time injury-free man-hours across its operations in 2025, reflecting its focus on workplace safety.
The company said it recorded no fatalities during the year while continuing to strengthen its environmental and social initiatives.
Axxela’s gas distribution infrastructure now stretches across several parts of Nigeria, supporting businesses that rely on natural gas as an alternative energy source.
The company said it would continue investing in infrastructure and expanding access to natural gas to support industrialisation and contribute to Nigeria’s energy transition.
