AWONIYI ADDS FOOTBALL MANAGEMENT QUALIFICATION TO ACADEMIC RECORD

Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has added another academic achievement to his football career after graduating from the PFA Business School with a Postgraduate Diploma in Global Football Sport Directorship, finishing the programme with Merit.

Awoniyi announced the achievement on social media, describing his graduation as another proud moment away from the football pitch. The Coventry City forward said he remains committed to learning and personal development while continuing his professional football career.

The 29-year-old explained that he has always believed being a footballer should not prevent players from continuing their education. He also expressed appreciation to the PFA Business School, its lecturers and fellow students, while thanking his family and friends for their support throughout the programme.

The latest qualification adds to Awoniyi’s previous academic achievements. He earned a diploma in Business Administration and Marketing Management from the London School of International Business in 2020 before completing a degree in Business Management at Buckinghamshire New University in 2022.

Awoniyi’s latest qualification focuses on the administrative and leadership side of football, providing knowledge relevant to careers in football management and sport directorship. The striker has now combined his professional playing career with continued academic development, ending his graduation message with the words, “Still playing. Still learning. The journey continues.”
