AWF, DEV-AFRIQUE PARTNER TO DRIVE AFRICA’S GREEN REFORMS
The African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) has partnered with Dev-Afrique to accelerate green reforms and sustainable development initiatives across the continent, focusing on climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, and community-led environmental projects.
The collaboration, announced in Nairobi, aims to mobilise resources, expertise, and innovative solutions to support African countries in meeting their climate commitments under the Paris Agreement and national development agendas. AWF CEO, Mr. Kaddu Sebunya, described the partnership as a strategic alliance for impactful green transformation.
“By combining conservation expertise with development acumen, we can drive reforms that balance economic growth with environmental sustainability,” Sebunya stated. The partnership will prioritise projects in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and ecosystem restoration.
Dev-Afrique, a leading development consultancy, will provide technical support for policy design, project implementation, and impact measurement. Initial focus areas include East and Southern Africa, with plans for continent-wide expansion.
Stakeholders have welcomed the initiative, noting its potential to strengthen Africa’s position in global climate action and attract more green investments.
