ATIKU SLAMS TINUBU GOVT OVER TERRORISTS’ TAKEOVER OF COMMUNITIES
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has strongly criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration over the rising wave of terrorist activities in parts of Northern Nigeria.
Atiku made the remarks on Wednesday in a statement shared via his official Facebook page after meeting with political stakeholders from Borno State, led by Mohammed Kumaila.
According to him, communities in the North East, North West, and North Central are being occupied by terrorists and bandits who impose levies on citizens and disrupt farming activities. He described the development as an outright failure of political leadership.
“It is unacceptable that bandits or terrorists continue to take over communities, imposing levies on citizens and disrupting farming activities,” Atiku said.
He insisted that Nigeria’s security forces have the capacity to defeat terrorism, but only with the right political leadership. The former Vice President also used the opportunity to urge Nigerians to unite in order to rescue the country in the 2027 general elections.
Atiku thanked the Borno stakeholders for their concerns about the state of the nation and expressed his commitment to supporting efforts that would restore peace and economic prosperity.
